Is there a minimum booking?
- Yes, a three hour minimum booking is required for all services.
How much space is needed?
- Each massage practitioner requires approximately a 5x6 foot space.
How long is a Massage2Go massage?
- Companies often choose to give each employee between 15 and 30 minutes. Ten minutes is popular for high traffic events such as tradeshows.
Do I remove my clothing?
- No, chair massage is done through your clothing. At the most, you may be asked to remove any jacket or coat before the massage. Generally no lotion or creams are used in chair massage, unless the therapists uses a little for a hand massage.
Are you Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs)?
- Yes, our practitioners are Registered Massage Therapists either with the New Brunswick Massage Association or the Association of New Brunswick Massage Therapists.
Is massage therapy covered by extended health care insurance?
- Yes! Massage therapy is covered by most extended health care plans. If you are unsure of your coverage details, it is always a good idea to check with your plan.
Do I need a referral from my doctor?
- Most extended health care plans do not require a doctor's referral for massage therapy. However, it is always wise to check with your coverage provider if you are not sure.
I am pregnant. Can I still get a chair massage?
- Massage can be very beneficial for women during pregnancy. However, be sure to let the registered massage therapist know you are pregnant so they can assure your safety and comfort.
Are there contraindications for chair massage?
- Yes. The RMT uses a systematic screening process with every customer to determine whether or not massage is appropriate. Some contraindications include: contagious or infectious diseases, fever, recent injuries (in the last week), recent surgeries, acute inflammation (redness, heat, swelling, pain, loss of movement) and severe conditions such as deep-vein thrombosis. Please inform your RMT of any acute or ongoing health conditions before the chair massage.
